Description: Hours: Two hours lecture ad two hours activity per week Description: Introduces students to service learning and community engagement in the Chicana/o communities. Students will be engaged in community-academic partnerships to combine learning goals and community service in ways that enhance student learning and social justice in Chicana/o communities. Students will learn how to identify, research, and reflect upon problems and solutions through community-based activities in real-world contexts. The course prepares students for more advanced community research in CHS 499.
